WALT: Include semi-colons in our writing.

This week we have been writing about something we did in our holidays.

Hi Aomsin!

How were your holidays?
Were they fun?

Mine were a bit boring, with my Mum having to work ALL the time; but I did do 1 interesting thing! I was invited to Jolie’s 9th pool party at the Onekawa Pools, along with many others, like Alison and Ava. Jzirah was also invited, but she couldn't make it. My Mum and I arrived early (about 10:30) and the party was from 11:00am to 2:00pm. So we had to play the waiting game. While I played games around the parks nearby; the time flew by.

When Jolie, her Mum, and Nicole (Jolie’s cousin) finally arrived, the party finally began, and we got checked in. Did I mention that Alison was LATE? Yeah, she came with Rachel (Ava’s Mum), along with Vivi and Ava. Anyways, when they got here, they got checked in, and went in the deepest pool with us. We all dived in from the un-used diving boards. After we decided we'd had enough of that pool, we went on the slide as the life-guards checked to make sure we had our orange bands on. These bands are available from the check-out when you walk in, and allow you to ride the slide.

When we rode the slide, it felt really dark and spooky. But mainly, it was fast. VERY fast. So you walk up the stairs, choose the slide you want to go on, and hop in. I chose the right one. As you get in in… BAM! Darkness hits you right in the stomach. Especially if it’s your first time on it. You ride and swirl all the way down it. When you get to the end, you see light and it’s like coming out of an underground car-park. Just so you know, when you get to the end, close your eyes and hold your breath, because a GIANT wave will come and smack you in the face, and it's not very nice if you don't hold your breath.

Then it was lunchtime. We had fish and chips, regular chips, lollies, donuts and drinks. I know. That's A LOT of junk food. Especially in one whole day. Luckily I brushed my teeth TWICE that night. Anyways, we had our own spaces on the table. I sat in between Vivi and Kyla (Kyla is one of Jolie's friends). Then we waited a bit for our tummies to settle so we could swim again. Next the cake was brought out. Jolie blew out her candles and we had loads of fun eating too. Then it was time to go home. We thanked Jolie for inviting us, and her Mum and Nan for preparing a great time.

The END!
